About the Customer

Our client is a producer-led group of companies specializing in the supply of fresh produce to major retailers, the fresh prepared food sector and wholesalers in the UK and Europe. This role will be based in the Region of Murcia in southeastern Spain. They have been successfully operating in the fresh produce business for over 10 years. This Spain-based branch of the business is the company’s newest and requires a CFO to help with the growth and development of the business.

About the role

In this rare opportunity to work in Spain, you will be required to take responsibility and deal with a range of financial/accounting matters, including bookkeeping duties, issuing/paying invoices, credit control, banking, cash monitoring, tax management, VAT and Social Security issues and payment of expenses. In addition, the job holder will be expected to contribute to the annual budgeting process, enter data into the ERP system, provide weekly/monthly financial reports and have regular communication with the UK based Group Finance Director and Management Accountant. The ideal candidate

To be considered for this role, you will need previous finance/administration/operations experience, preferably in a production company. You will need knowledge of ERP systems which would be an advantage. The ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external contacts as well as the ability to communicate at all levels – on the phone, in writing and face to face. You will need to be fluent in English and Spanish.
